Provide the ability to select a piece of Sales Literature and send it to a CRM Contact/Account/Lead via email

(1) Make it possible to publish an Advanced Find as a System View
(2) Perform operations on sub-entites (i.e. MAX, MIN, SUM, EXISTS, DOES NOT EXIST) - so you can create filters like: Find all Accounts where SUM of Activites for last 6 months < 10 for a specific user
(3) Perform operations to deliver on views (again, to display same type of information as referenced in #2, but within the columns)

Give users the ability to add an attachment to KB articles.  If they email a KB article, then include attachments.

Most companies want to see what changed on a record and who made the change.  This should be part of the core system.  Workflows can help with this, but it is awkward to do this when there are a large number of entities that require auditing.

It would be great to be able to add auto-number fields to an entity's form without having to resort to custom code (I've seen soluti9ons that use workflow, but it's not very reliable and doesn't help offline users)

Ability for workflow to update attributes on in active records (version 3.0 could do this!)

Enable users to create calculated fields (as an attribute type) on forms.  Formula can contain values from existing entity, rollup calculations (see other idea on this topic) or from entities that parent this entity.

I am encountering an issue with the calendar on both the Outlook and Web vesions. All users are not able to view the calendar under the Workspace. However, if you go onto the server directly and then access CRM on the Web Client, the Calendar option is available. The roles of each are correct and I have restarted IIS on the Server as well.

Reusable or linked assets like picklists and script (across entities - so they keep in synch and don't need to be manually edited multiple times)

New field type: Combo Box (multi-select picklist)

In CRM 4.0, phone calls can synch with Outlook Tasks.  It would be great to be able to create custom activity types that could optionally sync with Outlook or be available only in CRM.  One example custom activity type that would be very helpful would be "Approvals."

(a) Ability to select secondary email addresses to send email

(c) Associate tracked email activities to all matched records (if a duplicate email exists in the system, the email is unresolved rather than being associated with both)

(e) Email preview panes

Setup email signatures that are automatically attached to outgoing emails based on the user.

Allow administrators to change access to FIELDS based on security level (i.e. a user may be able to update an entity record owned by another user, but only a few specific users may be able to update the account number field). 

Ability to enter information for a sub-entity or a view just like typing it into an Excel spreadsheet (picklists and lookups become drop-down boxes)

Allow entities to be configured with multiple record types.  Handled as follows:
(a) An additional form is created in the Forms and Views listing for the entity for that record type
(b) User can configure the form using any fields available on that entity
(c) Record types can be assigned based on a User Type field (picklist or Lookup on the User entity)
(d) When creating a new record, if a user does not have a Type assigned to their record,then a pop-up dialog requires them to select a record type before the record is created
(e) Record type can be changed by the user if they have permission

Recycle bin like MOSS so users can undelete records

Provide more robust editing of HTML in Email templates (with CSS support)

Enable rollup calculations on entities that are real time and are available for reports, forms, views.  For instance SUM total estimate value of all open opportunities for accounts where the due date is the next 30 days.

Search: provide users with the ability to search across everything in CRM (including entities, documents, email attachments) from one place - i.e. a quick find or search bar that isn't limited to one enity.  Although this is possible with SharePoint, it should be included in the core CRM functionality.
